Welcome to the Prospero Group

We all have our individual paths to follow and our own ideas to manifest. But if there is one that should be learned , and one conclusion that I think can be reached is there is strength in numbers. Alone we can manifest and become abundant. This is true, but working together, that energy can become amazingly powerful and transformative.  We all realize that we stand at the turning point, which is a unique moment in time. Here in New York , and all over the world, people are tuning in and learning of the Law of Attraction. “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne  is merely a spark that has kindled this flame. This information is as old as the Earth itself, and is contained within each and every one of us at the moment of our conception. We know some very successful and powerful people understood the Law of Attraction. We also know we can have be or do anything we want. We can come to know who we truly are and create our lives how we envision them.  Here’s the exciting part –  we don’t have to do it alone, it doesn’t cost any money, and it can be fun, rewarding and profitable all at the same time. Work is play, play is work. The Best is yet to come, when together we can thrive and be abundant, and dare I say, change the world!  This is not about getting anew car, but by healing the planet and connecting together on spiritual journey.  This is a living group. We will ultimate authors an co-creators or world abundance, peace, and prosperity in conjunction with The Universe, Higher power, God, Angels, Goddess or whatever path you choose.

Why Prospero?
Prospero is the Protagonist the The Tempest, by William Shakespeare. Propsero was the rightful Duke of Milan who was overthrown by his brother, and sent into exile with his daugher Miranda. They find shelter on an island, where Prospero uses sorcery to control the islands inhabitants Caliban and Ariel. When he sees his brother’s ship off in a distant, Prospero uses his magic to conjour up the eponymous tempest, which shipwrecks his brother on the island. Prospero regains his rightful claim to the dukedom, but renounces his manipulative use of sorcery and makes a plea for indulgence and forgiveness in the now famous monologue:

Now my charms are all o’erthrown,
And what strength I have’s mine own,
Which is most faint: now, ’tis true,
I must be here confined by you,
Or sent to Naples. Let me not,
Since I have my dukedom got
And pardon’d the deceiver, dwell
In this bare island by your spell;
But release me from my bands
With the help of your good hands:
Gentle breath of yours my sails
Must fill, or else my project fails,
Which was to please. Now I want
Spirits to enforce, art to enchant,
And my ending is despair,
Unless I be relieved by prayer,
Which pierces so that it assaults
Mercy itself and frees all faults.
As you from crimes would pardon’d be,
Let your indulgence set me free.

So what does this mean?   Why did some of you read “The Secret”? Why are some people now questioning the faith of origin and seeking answers elsewhere. What are you looking for?  Why were are we brought together at this time and place.   The conventional world, the world of today, the world of business, the institutions that exist and govern our daily lives have spun a magic web of bondage over us, such as there is only one path to riches, there is only one right religion, only certain people can be wealthy, only certain people can attain enlightenment. Men are superior to women. Women are superior to men. You are not good enough. You are too nice. Smoke this cigarette and you too can look like this sexy model. Buy this car and all the chicks will want you.  All women should look like Kate Moss and Giselle Bundchen. All men should look like Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. Only beautiful people succeed.  Only book smart people are successful. You need an MBA to be rich. You have to have connections to get into the right company, school, church, or club. I am a pharmaceutical copywriter, how can I possibly be an author and a psychologist. I’m just an accountant, how can I be spiritual. I am a singer or an artist, how can I make any money without selling out. I do energy work, how can I make a living at that. I’m a student, I can’t possibly start a business now. I am in my 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, it’s too late to change my life. How can I work and play at the same time. How can wealth and abundance be spiritual? Do you get the point?
Think of your own hard wiring, your own self talk, and your own frustrations. Behind every one of them is a desire. Desire does not just come from your brain and heart, but it is singing in your soul. Prospero’s bondage was he was a Duke who was exiled to an island by an act of treachery. He was of the ruling class, and, exiled on an island, he turned to sorcery to create his own small kingdom because he felt deprived of his birthright, Prospero tapped into “The Secret”. But he used it to enslave. At the end of the play, as the bard Shakespeare so eloquently wrote, Prospero renounces his own control over things and turns to the audience, the Universe, and pleads  Let your indulgence set me free”. That’s what we are doing with the Law of Attraction. We are surrendering our need to control, and our need to be controlled by the dominant paradigm that permeates society. We are now choosing to live our lives along spiritual principles using the Law of Attraction to gain health, wealth, love and serenity, and freely share that knowledge and abundance with others. In other words, we are letting go. Hence, the name Prospero and think of the definition of Prosperity. Good old Mr. Webster gave it to us in that famous dictionary – a successful, flourishing, or thriving condition. The desire within you led you to seek this knowledge, and with the knowledge, many of us have manifested wonderful things.  Now imagine how wonderful it would be if this successful, flourishing thriving condition came to you just as naturally as breathing. Imagine a group of people that are happy and supportive of you, and want to see you succeed. Imagine that these people want to share what they know in order to succeed. They want to share with you, and you will want to share your success with them, Imagine that these very people WILL HELP YOU AND BE THE VERY CHANNEL BY WHICH YOU WILL SUCCEED! Imagine  this is what will sustain you and provide for you and make a life for you and others beyond your wildest dreams. It’s kind of mind blowing, don’t you think? This, my friends, is the whole concept behind The Prospero Group. How we will start, well we already have.  We’ve had three or four meetings in New York. But it’s time to expand the world. In my next post, I will post more about what the Prospero Group is all about, and what our goals and aspirations are.
